Here is another card from my birthday card class yesterday. The idea for this card came from Inkstampnscrap on Splitcoast. Her card can be found here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/821227?cat=12243 Supplies:
- Embrace Life stamp set
- Birthday Whimsey Sale-A-Bration stamp set
- Almost Amethyst cardstock (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and (2 3/4" x 2 7/8")
- Lavender Lace cardstock (3" x 3 1/8")
- White cardstock (8 1/2" x 5 1/2"), (2 1/4" x 2 3/8") and scrap for cut out flower
- Almost Amethyst classic ink
- Lavender Lace classic ink
- Blender pens
- Lavender Lace marker
- White gel pen
- Ticket corner punch
- Snail Adhesive
- Tommy glue
- Dazzling Diamonds glitter
- Dimensionals
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Stamp leaf image from Embrace Life repeatedly along the bottom of the big Almost Amethyst cardstock piece (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") using Almost Amethyst ink
- Stamp flower image from Embrace Life in the center of small White cardstock piece. Colour flower with Almost Amethyst ink using a blender pen
- Stamp flower image again on a scrap of white using Lavender Lace ink.
- Colour flower with blender pen using Lavender Lace ink. Colour edges (where petals overlap and fold) with the Lavender Lace marker to make them darker. Cut out flower.
- Spread a thin layer of glue over the whole flower. Pour on glitter and shake off excess. Set aside to dry
- Use Ticket corner punch to punch all 4 corners of the square of Lavender Lace cardstock
- Center square of Almost Amethyst cardstock to Lavender Lace cardstock. Adhere.
- Adhere White cardstock with flower image to center of cardstock piece from Step 7
- Use white gel pen to free hand draw squiggly lines around the white cardstock piece
- Using dimesionals, stick cut out flower over coloured flower. Do not line up the flower images exactly. Some of the flower underneath should show around the cut out flower.
- Stamp the Happy Birthday image from Birthday Whimsey on the bottom right of the card front using Lavender Lace ink
- Finish card
